25/03/23 – Saturday Horse Racing Tips for Ascot

Must read

We have expert betting tips for the card this Saturday at Ascot that features nine quality betting races.

It’s W.A. Oaks Day in Perth, and we have our best horse racing tips available.

Ascot horse racing tips

Race 1. (15:28) M.M. Racing Women Plate (1200m)

#1 – Happy as Larry

Happy as Larry owns two second placings from as many starts, so it shouldn’t take him long to win.

The two-year-old gelding by I’m All the Talk comes off a trial win at Belmont, so he’s ready to fire, and this race is there for the taking.

Look for a betting push on race day.

Race 2. (16:08) Tabtouch Westspeed Handicap (1500m)

#2 – Cywer

Cywer comes off a win at Ascot and she is making a name for herself in the west.

The four-year-old mare owns three wins and four placings from eight starts, so the form is on the board.

Barrier two is ideal and we’re confident of a win.

Race 3. (16:48) Alliance Nickel BM72 (1200m)

#7 – Western Knight

Western Knight owns three wins and two placings from six starts, so he has made a good beginning to his career.

The Adam Durrant-trained gelding comes off a win at Ascot fresh up, so he could stay in that form for the rest of his preparation.

With William Pike in the saddle, we’re not expecting big odds.

Race 4. (17:28) Ladies in Pink BM66 (1400m)

#5 – Major Max

Major Max is another quality winner of three from six starts, including two wins at Ascot.

The three-year-old son of Magnus won by 1.5 lengths last time out, and a similar effort sees her winning on Saturday.

We expect money to come for her on race day.

Race 5. (18:05) 1st Disc Racing Ladies 1MW (1200m)

#2 – Desert Vixen

Looking to cap off consecutive placings with a win is Desert Vixen, who usually pays each-way odds with bookmakers.

The four-year-old daughter of Rommel was only a nose behind the winner earlier this month, so she’s our top pick in an even contest.

Getting 1.5kg off her back doesn’t hurt.

Race 6. (18:40) Seacorp Grandstand Cup BM88 (1500m)

#2 – Em Tee Aye @ $3.80

Em Tee Aye was only two lengths behind the winner last time out and a repeat of that would be good enough.

The five-year-old is a five-time winner, and there has been solid betting support come for him throughout the week.

Getting the inside draw helps his chances.

Race 7. (19:15) Schweppes Melvista Stakes (2200m)

#1 – Another Chino @ $3.40

Another Chino comes off consecutive wins on the track and there’s no reason why he couldn’t win again.

The three-year-old son of Machino defeated a field of 16 runners last time out, so he’s every chance to beat this field.

His odds could firm to favouritism.

Race 8. (19:55) Peoplestart W.A. Oaks (2400m)

#1 – Admiration Express @ $2.40

Admiration Express is a two-time winner from seven starts, which includes four minor placings.

The three-year-old daughter of My Admiration has done most of her racing on this track, and that’s where she has had success.

She is a nice stayer in the making and we’re not shocked by the odds.

Race 9. (20:35) Amelia Park BM66 (2200m)

#1 – Soviet Spy

Soviet Spy comes off three consecutive wins and he’s good enough to win again.

The five-year-old son of Blackfriars is a past winner at Ascot when winning three starts back, so that bodes well.

Look for each-way odds on race day.
